Biography
Senior Finance Executive ~ Change Catalyst ~ Highly-Adaptable Leader
My passion has always been business and, specifically, accounting and finance. As a financial executive with over 15 years of experience, I have worked in a wide range of industries including manufacturing (food and durable goods), trade/consumer show management, publishing, retail and insurance. The companies that I have worked for include private and public corporations, and experienced and entrepreneurial situations. In each step of my career, I have brought a heightened sense of what is needed to make a business successful, and have provided the leadership and drive necessary to make it happen. In addition to harnessing this expertise for my current employer, I share my thoughts through this blog, The Finance Compass. My strengths include budgeting & forecasting, strategic planning, financial reporting & analysis, redesigning business processes, integrating acquisitions, project management and systems implementations.
I am a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and have earned my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
I also have a passion for running and actively participate with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training as a marathon run coach.
